To regenerate an encryption key over the wireless network, complete the following steps:
Note: The Compressed Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (CMIME) service book must be installed on the BlackBerry smartphone before continuing.
For BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry Device Software 4.0 to 4.7:
- On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Security Options > General Settings.
- Scroll down and select the Desktop entry under Services.
- Press the Menu key and click Regenerate Encryption Key.
- On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Security Options > Information.
- Scroll down and select the Desktop entry under Services.
- Press the Menu key and click Regenerate Encryption Key.
- On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Security > Security Status Information.
- Scroll down and select the Desktop entry under Services.
- Press the Menu key and click Regenerate Encryption Key.
- BlackBerry® Device Software 4.0 to 7.0
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server 4.0 to 5.0
- BlackBerry® smartphones
