Originally designed to work specifically with the iTunes music collection, the updated version of BlackBerry Media Sync 2.0 now extends to support Windows Media® Player. Both of these music libraries can exist on the BlackBerry smartphone at the same time, and each library is maintained separately. However, if iTunes and Windows Media Player generate libraries from the same media source it may result in duplicate content on the BlackBerry smartphone.

To remove all content from one library, and synchronize with the other, complete the following steps:
- Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer with a USB cable.
- From BlackBerry® Desktop Manager, click the Media icon.
- Under the BlackBerry Media Sync section, click the Start button.
- Click Options.
- Click the Delete button to remove all music from the BlackBerry smartphone that has been synchronized by BlackBerry Media Sync.
Note: Clicking the Delete button removes all music synchronized by BlackBerry Media Sync, regardless of which library it was transferred from.
- From the Options screen, click either iTunes or Windows Media Player in the Select Music Library field.
- Click OK.
- Click Sync to begin synchronizing content with the selected library.
