Using the Allowed/Blocked Callers lists in BlackBerry Mobile Voice System version 4.6

The Blocked Callers list specifies callers that cannot directly contact the BlackBerry MVS user. Those callers are immediately sent to voice mail.

The Allowed Callers list specifies callers that can call the BlackBerry MVS user directly, even if the Do Not Disturb feature is turned on.

To add a phone number to the Allowed/Blocked Callers list from the BlackBerry smartphone, complete one of the following two tasks:

Task 1

  • While on a call or from the call log, press the Menu key and select either Allow or Block.

Task 2

  1. Open the Phone application.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Select Option > Allowed/Blocked Callers.
  4. Enter the phone number you would like to add to the list.

To add a phone number to the Allowed/Blocked Callers list from the BlackBerry MVS web UI, complete the following task:

  1. Log in to the BlackBerry MVS web UI.
  2. Select My Settings.
  3. Select either Allowed Callers or Blocked Callers.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Enter the phone number and a description.
