BlackBerry icon beside the 3G network indicator will not reappear after powering off and turning back on the BlackBerry smartphone

After powering off and turning back on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone, the BlackBerry icon next to the 3G network indicator will not reappear.

This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
CollapseWorkaround
In order to resume the BlackBerry icon indicator appearing beside the 3G indicator, please perform a hard reset by removing the battery and placing it back into the BlackBerry smartphone.

This would also happen if the BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone has Auto On/Off feature enabled. The missing icon will not cause any impact to the data connectivity and functionalities of the BlackBerry smartphone.
