If the Network Selection Mode field is set to Automatic, the BlackBerry smartphone automatically connects to another wireless network when travelling outside the home wireless network coverage area. The BlackBerry smartphone can be set to manually search wireless networks and then configured to connect to them.

Note: The SIM card in the BlackBerry smartphone must be provisioned for roaming services before it can connect to a different wireless network. Login information might be required before accessing the wireless network. Contact the service provider for additional details about roaming.
