How to configure the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to connect to a different BlackBerry Infrastructure

To configure the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to connect to a different BlackBerry® Infrastructure, complete the steps appropriate for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server version:

For BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0, 4.1 and 5.0

  1. Open the BlackBerry Server Configuration tool.
  2. Select the BlackBerry Router tab.
  3. In the SRP Address field, type the new BlackBerry Infrastructure address.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Restart the BlackBerry Enterprise Server services.

Important: Restarting certain BlackBerry Enterprise Server services will delay message delivery to BlackBerry® smartphones. For more information, see KB04789.

For BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 3.6

Warning: The following procedure involves modifying the computer registry. This can cause substantial damage to the Microsoft® Windows® operating system. Document and back up the registry entries prior to implementing any changes.

  1. Open the Registry Editor by clicking Start > Run.
  2. Type regedit.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Servers\<BlackBerry_Enterprise_Server_name>\NetworkAccessNode
  5. In the Value field, type the new BlackBerry Infrastructure address.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Close the Registry Editor.
  8. Restart the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Important: Restarting the BlackBerry Enterprise Server will delay message delivery to BlackBerry smartphones. For more information, see KB04789.
