Sent email messages are not saved to the Sent Items folder of an integrated IMAP email account

Email messages sent from the BlackBerry smartphone do not appear in the Sent Items folder on the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) server.

CollapseCause

The BlackBerry Internet Service is unable to locate the Sent Items folder on the IMAP server. This can be caused by the Sent Items folder having a misspelled or different name, or the Sent Items folder being in a location other than the default location.

CollapseResolution

Check that the Sent Items folder on the IMAP server is named Sent Items, with the correct spelling, and is at the same level as the Inbox in the mailbox folder structure, as set by default.

CollapseAdditional Information

Some IMAP servers are not configured to support the posting of sent messages.
