How to enable or disable the wireless connections on the BlackBerry smartphone

To enable the wireless connections on a BlackBerry® smartphone running BlackBerry® Device Software 5.0 BlackBerry® 6 or BlackBerry® 7 go to the Home screen and select the Manage Connections icon and check the Mobile Network to be enabled.

Once enabled, it will display a green check mark beside Mobile Network.

To disable the wireless connection, go to the Home screen and open Manage Connections and uncheck the Mobile Network.

This process can also be referred to as Airplane Mode, Flight Mode or Aeroplane Mode.
