When synchronizing Calendar entries using the BlackBerry Desktop Software, not all Calendar entries are synchronized to or from Microsoft Outlook.
Cause 1
The folder mapping setting in the BlackBerry Desktop Software is not configured to synchronize the correct calendar. Entries are being synchronized to a calendar that is likely not in use within Outlook.
Cause 2
The BlackBerry smartphone has multiple calendars. The BlackBerry Desktop Software is designed to only synchronize with the default calendar and if this occurs, the calendars on the BlackBerry smartphone will need to be merged.
Cause 1

Resolution 1
To configure a calendar, or to set up a second calendar, in Microsoft Outlook, complete the following steps:
For BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.5 to 5.0
- Connect the BlackBerry® smartphone to the computer.
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and click Synchronize.
- Under Configure, click Synchronization.
- Click Synchronization from the Synchronization configuration menu.
- Select Calendar, and click Advanced.
- Click Map Folder.
- On the left side, the current mailbox is displayed. Expand Mailbox – <User name>.
- Select the calendar to synchronize to the BlackBerry smartphone, and click Add to move it to the selected folders.
- Clear any calendars listed that are not to be synchronized.
- Click Ok.
For BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 to 6.1
- Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Software, and click Organizer.
- Click Configure Settings
- Select Calendar, and click Advanced.
- Click Map Folder.
- On the left side, the current mailbox is displayed. Expand Mailbox – <User name>.
- Select the calendar to synchronize to the BlackBerry smartphone, and click Add to move it to the selected folders.
- Clear any calendars listed that are not to be synchronized.
- Click Ok.
For BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.0
- Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Software, and click Organizer.
- Click Configure... beside Calendar.
- Click Advanced...
- Select the Folders tab.
- Select the radio button for Select different calendar to sync
- Navigate to and select the calendar to be synchronized from the list and click Add.
- From the list of selected calendar's, select the calendar that is not to be synchronized and click Remove.
- Click Ok.

From the BlackBerry smartphone, merge the calendars. For instruction on how to merge multiple calendars into one calendar on the BlackBerry smartphone, please see KB19240.
- Configure the synchronization using the BlackBerry Desktop Software. Please see the below steps.
- Once the synchronization is complete, verify that all the calendar entries are showing up on both the BlackBerry Smartphone calendar and Outlook.
To configure synchronization for BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.5 to 5.0 SP1, complete the following steps:
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
- Click Synchronize.
- On the left hand side select Synchronization under the configure option.
- Then select Synchronization.
- Click Advance.
- Select Calendar
- Click Map Folder.
- Click + to expand the selected mailboxes (data files).
- Select the appropriate folders for the Calendar
- Click Add.
- Click OK to return to Intellisync
- Click OK to return to return to the Synchronize window.
- Select the Synchronize, check Synchronize organizer data and then click Synchronize.
Note: Choosing the main contact folder and checking the box to include sub-folders will also synchronize sub-folders.
To configure synchronization for BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 to 6.1, complete the following steps:
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Software.
- Click Organizer on the left side.
- Then select Configure Settings.
- Click Advance.
- Select Calendar
- Click + to expand the selected mailboxes (data files).
- Select the appropriate folders for the PIM database being configured
- Click Add.
- Click OK.
- Click OK to return to Intellisync.
- Click OK to return to Organizer.
- Click the "Sync" button in the bottom right hand corner.
To configure synchronization for BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.0 to 7.1, complete the following steps:
- Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Software, and click Organizer.
- Click Configure... besides Calendar
- Click Advanced...
- Select the Folders tab.
- Select the radio button for Select different calendar to sync.
- Navigate to and select the specific item to be synchronized from the list and click Add
- Click OK.
- Click OK.

Click Sync.
Make sure that the BlackBerry smartphone user has the proper permissions to access the calendar. If the permissions are not set properly, the synchronization process will not complete, or the calendar will not be visible when attempting to configure the folder. Wireless synchronization of the calendar must also be turned off.
