- BlackBerry® Bold™ 9000 smartphone
Following several uncaught exceptions when the BlackBerry smartphone starts, some icons are not displayed on the smartphone. The most common missing icons are Messages, SMS and MMS, Profiles, and Contacts.
This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
To work around this issue, perform a hard reset on the BlackBerry smartphone. For more information on performing a hard reset, see KB02141.
Note: A similar issue has been reported on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone with BlackBerry® Device Software 220.127.116.115. The SDRs listed are not confirmed to be the same. On the BlackBerry 9700 smartphone, the workaround was to reload the BlackBerry Device Software.
