After the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card is changed on the BlackBerry smartphone, BlackBerry MVS can view the mobile number that is used to complete calls made from a work number. When the BlackBerry smartphone is started after insertion of the new SIM card, the new mobile number should be updated automatically when the BlackBerry smartphone is registered with the BlackBerry MVS server.
Complete the following steps to verify the new mobile number:
BlackBerry software 5.0:
- Press the Send Key.
- Press the Menu key > Options.
- Scroll to the Work (Mobile) section of the menu.
- Select General Settings.
- The new number is displayed in the Mobile Number field.
- If the number is different, please edit this field and type your new mobile number. Press the Menu key and click Save.
- The updated number registers with the BlackBerry MVS Server.
BlackBerry software 6.0:
- Press the Send Key
- Press the Menu key > Options
- Select Work (Mobile) - <extension>
- Select General Settings
- The new number is displayed in the Mobile Number field
- If the number is different, please edit this field and type your new mobile number. Press the Menu key and click Save.
- The updated number registers with the BlackBerry MVS Server.
