Calendar items occurring in the past are being deleted from the calendar application on the computer

When the BlackBerry Desktop Software is used for calendar synchronization, past calendar events are deleted from the calendar application on the computer.


Calendar items on the BlackBerry Smartphone were deleted as a result of setting Keep appointments in the calendar to delete older appointments.


To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:

Configure the BlackBerry Smartphone to keep past appointments:

  1. Open the Calendar application on the smartphone and press the Menu key.
  2. Select Options and then General Options/Calendar Display and Actions.
  3. Within General Calendar Options, set the Keep Appointments option to Forever.
