"An error occurred while updating the application list: Error 404" appears when the Application Center is accessed on the BlackBerry smartphone

The application list is empty when the Application Center is accessed, and the following message appears when an attempt is made to refresh:

An error occurred while updating the application list: Error 404

The BlackBerry smartphone is missing the service book that is associated with the Application Center.

To obtain a copy of the Application Center service book, register the BlackBerry smartphone over the wireless network. For instructions, click here.
