BlackBerry Wallet icon disappears when upgrading to BlackBerry Device Software 5.0

When upgrading a BlackBerry® smartphone to BlackBerry Device Software version 5.0, the BlackBerry Wallet icon disappears and the application is no longer accessible.
Previous versions of BlackBerry Wallet are not compatible with BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 and are removed during the upgrade.
  1. Please visit or to download a compatible version of BlackBerry Wallet.
  2. By default, BlackBerry® Desktop Manager will create a backup file when performing the upgrade to BlackBerry Device Software 5.0. This file can be found in the "My Documents" folder or by searching your computer for a recent IPD file.
  3. To restore previous BlackBerry Wallet data, please see KB10339 and follow the steps to restore the BlackBerry Wallet database.
