CollapseOverview

When downloading the BlackBerry® Client for IBM® Lotus® Quickr® or IBM® Lotus® Connections® it fails with the following error message:

HTTP Error 500

Note: The above error is caused because a certificate has not been imported for use with the BlackBerry® Social Networking Application Proxy.

You must have a valid certificate for the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy. Create the certificate for the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy using the Java® keytool, export the certificate to a file, and then import the certificate into the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service. These steps are outlined in the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy for IBM Lotus Quickr version 1.0 Installation and Configuration Guide.

Allowing a trusted connection

Allow a trusted connection between the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy and the BlackBerry® MDS Connection Service. To allow a trusted connection between these servers, add a certificate to the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service. The certificate permits the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service to accept Hypertext Transfer Protocol over Secure Sockets Layer (HTTPS) connections.
