To set up a static IP address for a Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry smartphone, perform the following steps:

  1. On the Home screen of the smartphone, press the Manage Connections icon.
  2. Click Wi-Fi Options.
  3. Select a saved Wi-Fi profile, press the Menu key and select Edit.
  4. Clear the Automatically obtain IP address and DNS check box.
  5. The IP and DNS addresses can now be manually configured for this particular profile.
