After installation or an update to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP1 for Novell GroupWise, the following error may be logged in the BlackBerry Messaging Agent (MAGT) log if the Post Office Agent (POA) is configured to use SSL to secure communication:

[40000] (09/05 22:33:28.276):{0x2774} A WinInet error (Error Code: 12045) has been generated. Attempting to resolve...

CollapseCause

This issue is caused when the communication between the Novell GroupWise Post Office(s) and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is secured with an SSL certificate(s) that was issued by unknown or invalid certificate authority. This is a common error when communication is secured using self-signed certificates.

For instructions to import the correct certificate(s) on to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, see "Protecting the communication between the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and the Novell GroupWise POAs" in the Installation Guide for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Novell GroupWise version 5.0 Service Pack 1.
