Unable to push third party applications to BlackBerry smartphones

After assigning a software configuration to a BlackBerry smartphone user account, the application never arrives on the BlackBerry smartphone. The following error message is displayed for the status of the deployment job:

Internal delivery manager failure.

The following lines will also be written to the BlackBerry Administration Service Application Server (BBAS-AS) log file:

Either the network share directory containing the third party application is no longer accessible or the necessary permissions have not been applied to the network share directory.
CollapseResolution

First, confirm the network share directory is accessible from the server hosting the BlackBerry Enterprise Server as well as the server hosting the BlackBerry Administration Service. Follow these steps to confirm:

  1. Press the Windows Key and R to open the Run window.
  2. Type the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path for the Windows share.
  3. Click OK to confirm the network share directory is accessible.

Second, confirm the necessary permissions have been applied to the network share directory.  Follow these steps to confirm:

  1. On the server hosting the network share directory, right-click on the network share directory and click on Properties.
  2. Click on the Sharing tab.
  3. Click the Permissions button.
  4. Confirm the Everyone group is set to Allow on the Full Control permission.
  5. Confirm the Everyone group is not set to Deny any of the permissions.

\\<Server Name>\<Windows Share Name>
