- BlackBerry® Device Software
Follow these steps to determine which version of BlackBerry® Device Software is installed:
On BlackBerry® 6 and BlackBerry® 7
- Open the Options application on the BlackBerry smartphone (sometimes this is within a folder called Settings).
- Select Device
- Select About Device Versions from the list.
- The BlackBerry model number will be on the first line
- The BlackBerry Device Software version will be the first set of numbers on the third line.
On BlackBerry Device Software 4.2 to 5.0
- Open the Options application on the BlackBerry smartphone (sometimes this is within a folder called Settings).
- Select About from the list.
- The BlackBerry model number will be on the first line
- The Device Software version will be the first set of numbers on the third line.
From BlackBerry Desktop Manager:
- Connect BlackBerry smartphone to computer via USB
- Run Desktop Manager Software
- Enter BlackBerry smartphone password if prompted.
- The BlackBerry smartphone software version and bundle will be displayed on the main screen of Desktop Mananger next to the heading Software Version.
