With the release of BlackBerry App World 2.1, applications now have the ability to offer in-app purchases for additional content. The purchasing of the digital goods from within the application will follow the standard BlackBerry App World purchase process without the need to exit the application. If additional content for an application is available, a message will be displayed in the applications details page.




NOTE: The message advising of additional content will only be visible from the BlackBerry App World 2.1 application.

Digital Goods and Virtual Goods essentially describe micro-transactions, or transactions within an application. The definition is interchangeable between the two terms.
