Ensure that the date/time settings on the BlackBerry smartphone are set to the correct date, time, and time zone. If the date or time is set ahead of your currently detected time zone, the error will occur.
For BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0:
1. From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Date/Time > set the Use Network Time field to Yes.
2. Press the Menu key, and select Get Time Zone Updates
3. Press the Menu key, and select Save
For BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry Device Software 6.0:
1. From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Display > Date and Time > set the Update Time field to Automatic.
2. Press the Menu key, and select Update Time
3. Press the Menu key, and select Save
Note: When travelling it may be necessary to change the time zone manually depending on the device settings. Please refer to KB10323 for more information.
