If the option to have automatic time update is selected, the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ will invoke the generic NTP (Network Time Protocol) service to sync the clock time.
The time sync update occurs every 4 hours with the host time.blackberry.com .
The setting for updating the time automatically can be set by the following:
- Tap on the Gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Choose Date and Time in the menu
- The Set Date and Time Automatically can be switched to on or off
