Using the PlayBook Playlist within Music on the BlackBerry PlayBook

Music on the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet includes a default playlist called PlayBook Playlist. This playlist can be edited and modified to add or remove any song from the Music Library, then selected to play them.

To add songs the PlayBook Playlist:

  1. Open Music on the BlackBerry PlayBook
  2. While viewing the All Songs list, Artist list, Albums list, an album track list, or Genres list, swipe downwards from the top of the frame to display the options menu
  3. Select Edit
  4. Select the songs to add to the PlayBook Playlist
  5. Select Add
    Note:
    Songs already part of the PlayBook Playlist cannot be re-added. Therefore they are grayed out and are denoted as already in the Playlist .

To remove a song from the PlayBook Playlist:

  1. Open Music on the BlackBerry PlayBook
  2. Select the PlayBook Playlist
  3. Swipe downwards from the top of the frame to display the options menu
  4. Select Edit
  5. Select the songs to remove from the PlayBook Playlist, or select the Select All option
  6. Select Remove

    Note:
    Although playlist are supported on the BlackBerry PlayBook, additional playlist cannot be created from the within Music on the BlackBerry PlayBook. To use a playlist, it must be created on another media device, such as a PC, and transferred to the BlackBerry PlayBook. Only .m3u formatted playlists will be displayed at the bottom of the main Music page.

    Note: The PlayBook Playlist cannot be copied or moved from the BlackBerry PlayBook to another media player, such as a PC.
