How to install the BlackBerry Bridge application

• BlackBerry Device Software 5.0
• BlackBerry 6 to 7
• BlackBerry Bridge for BlackBerry smartphones
• BlackBerry PlayBook applications

Below are instructions on how to download and install the BlackBerry Bridge application. For more information on the BlackBerry Bridge application, see the BlackBerry Bridge User Guide.

On a BlackBerry Smartphone:

1. Open the BlackBerry World application.
2. Click Search.
3. Type BlackBerry Bridge.
4. Select the BlackBerry Bridge application from the search results.
5. Click Download to install the application.

On a PC: 

1. Navigate to http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/ on a PC.
2. Click Search.
3. Type BlackBerry Bridge and then click Search.
4. Select the BlackBerry Bridge application from the search results.
5. Click Download to install the application.
6. Sign in using the BlackBerry ID username and password.
7. Click Begin Sync Button.

Note: Ensure the latest available version of BlackBerry World is installed prior to installing the BlackBerry Bridge application.

In order to use the BlackBerry Bridge application, BlackBerry Device Software 5.0,  BlackBerry 6 to 7, or BlackBerry 10 is required. To determine which version is installed on the BlackBerry smartphone, see KB23393.
