Drop down menus of web page forums may select the item above using the BlackBerry PlayBook Browser

When selecting an entry of a drop down menu on a webpage the item above what you have selected it selected.

This has been determined to be how the browser is handling an empty <option> tag.  For example the following code if option Three is selected option Two will be displayed.

<option value="1">One</option>

<option value="2">Two</option>

<option value="3">Three</option>

Note:  To find the source code of a page through Windows® Internet Explorer®, right click anywhere on the page and choose "Source Code"


Upgrade to BlackBerry PlayBook OS version


Ensure there are no empty <option> tags on the webpage.

On the BlackBerry PlayBook a blank space apparent on most web browsers will not appear on the PlayBook's Browser.
