Viewing applications linked to BlackBerry Messenger

Applications that are linked to BBM are allowed to access the BlackBerry Messenger user profile, as well as chat and interact with other BBM users in a variety of ways. See below for steps to identify which applications have been given access to link with BBM.

To view applications linked to BBM on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone:

  1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top and tap Settings.
  2. Select Security and Privacy > Application Permissions.
  3. In the Permissions drop-down menu, select Connect to BBM.

To view applications linked to BBM on the BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry 6 to 7.1:

  1. Open BBM.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Select Options.
  4. Under BBM Connected Applications, next to Application Access, select Edit.

To edit the permissions for a particular application, select Edit next to the desired application. For more information on setting these permissions, see KB27689.
