When attempting to perform a silent install of BlackBerry® Device Software using the Windows® Installer the installation fails.

This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team.
CollapseWorkaround

Using the InstallShield the following command can be used to perform the silent installation.

HandheldSoftwarePackage.exe /s /v"/qn DMWORKINGDIR=\"C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Desktop\" /l*v %temp%\bb_handheld.log"

Where HandheldSoftwarePackage.exe is the name of the install file for the handheld software file you are attempting to install
Where DMWORKINGDIR is the full path to the installation of the BlackBerry Desktop Software
