No reinstall button available in App World once an app is deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

Applications uninstalled outside of the BlackBerry App World™ client do not receive proper notification of deletions, and the application appears to be still installed within the App World client.

This is a previously reported issue that has been investigated by our development team.
CollapseWorkaround

Complete the following steps in the below order to workaround this issue.

  1. Reboot the BlackBerry® smartphone (pull the battery)
  2. Clear the BlackBerry App World cache. See KB24714
  3. Refresh the App World list by navigating to My World within the App World Application, press Menu and select Refresh List

Once these steps are completed, the reinstall button should now be available.
