Automatic cellular fallback may fail due to any one the following reasons:
- BlackBerry MVS Only Calling is enabled on the user's Class of Service
- The setting
- Changes to the user settings to allow cellular fallback was made while the device was outside data coverage and has never connected to data service since.
- The previous BlackBerry MVS call attempt did not complete and the BlackBerry MVS client is still on a state of cleaning up the call.
Cause 1: BlackBerry MVS Only Calling is enabled on the user's Class of Service
Resolution 1: Assign a Class of Service that does not have BlackBerry MVS Only Calling enabled.
Cause 2: The setting
Resolution 2: Set the option When the BlackBerry MVS Line is unavailable use the Mobile Line to either Ask or Always.
Cause 3: Device was outside data coverage and has never connected to data service since the changes to the user's settings to allow cellular fallback was made.
Resolution 3: Move in to an area with data coverage to allow provisioning updates to the device.
Cause 4: The previous BlackBerry MVS call attempt did not complete and the BlackBerry MVS client is still cleaning up the call.
Resolution 4: This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
Workaround: Attempt another call after two minutes at least.
