BBM Music displays "Region not supported" when launched on CDMA based world phones

This issue occurs on CDMA based BlackBerry smartphone world phones with SIM cards inserted.

This issue is resolved in BBM Music 1.0.0.134. Upgrade to the most recent version of BBM Music within BlackBerry® App World™ storefront.

Workaround 1

Wi-Fi® Only Registration:

  1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to a Wi-Fi network connection.
  2. Go to Manage Connections and turn off the Mobile Network connection.
  3. Launch BBM Music. The Region not supported error should not occur and BBM Music should register successfully.
  4. Go to Manage Connections and turn the Mobile Network connection back on.

Workaround 2

SIM Pull:

  1. Remove the SIM card from The BlackBerry smartphone. The battery will need to be removed
  2. Restart the BlackBerry smartphone without the SIM card
  3. Launch BBM Music. The Region not supported error should not occur and BBM Music should register successfully.
  4. Reinsert the SIM card into the BlackBerry smartphone. BBM Music will continue to function correctly.
