When attempting to login to BlackBerry® ID, create a BlackBerry ID or reset the password for BlackBerry ID one of the following errors may be displayed:

During login:

Unable to connect with BlackBerry ID. Please sign in now or try again later. Data services are required for BlackBerry ID and can be turned on in the mobile network settings.

OR

The username and password provided do not correspond to a valid BlackBerry ID

During creation:

Unable to connect with BlackBerry ID. Please sign in now or try again later. Data services are required for BlackBerry ID and can be turned on in the mobile network settings.

OR

Unable to create BlackBerry ID

During a password reset:

Your request cannot be completed. Please ensure that your BlackBerry ID has been activated and that you have typed the correct email address

This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
CollapseWorkaround
  1. When the Welcome to BlackBerry® dialog is displayed select Ask Me Later at the bottom of the window.
  2. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to a Wi-Fi® network that has internet access.

Once connected to a Wi-Fi network complete one of the following to login to BBID:

  1. To setup BIS email select the Setup icon from the home screen, select Email Accounts, Internet Mail Account and complete the BlackBerry ID login.

  2. To setup App World select the App World icon from the home screen, select My World and complete the BlackBerry ID login.
