After pairing a BlackBerry PlayBook to a BlackBerry smartphone using BlackBerry Bridge, the Bridge Messages application may open and display a white screen with only a spinning circle.

This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. A resolution is currently unavailable.

Workaround 1

Security Wipe the BlackBerry PlayBook. See KB27188

Warning: Performing a Security Wipe will result in a loss of all data.

Workaround 2

Once connected to the Bridge open the Native Browser (do not use Bridge Browser) and navigate to the following address or http://localhost:187. This will give access to the Bridge applications.

NOTE: Unlock Bridge first by accessing another Bridge Application before attempting the above workaround.

Workaround 3

Ensure the BlackBerry PlayBook is on the latest version of PlayBook Software available.

Integrate the email account using the native email application on the BlackBerry PlayBook. For more information please see, KB30047
