Currently the design of the BlackBerry PlayBook requires a username field for a Wi-Fi® profile that uses EAP-TLS authentication. In some enviornments, a username is not required as part of the authentication and the BlackBerry PlayBook may be unable to connect to the network in this situation.

This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution timeframe is currently available.
