Unable to integrate or validate an AOL account to the BlackBerry Internet Service

When attempting to integrate or validate an AOL email account it continually fails stating:

The email address or password provided is incorrect.

CollapseCause

This issue can be caused by one of the following:

Cause 1

The AOL account being marked as compromised by AOL.

Cause 2

AOL had blocked access to the account, due to unusual activity.

Cause 1

The AOL account being marked as compromised by AOL.

Resolution 1

Contact AOL to have the user account and password reset.

Cause 2

AOL had blocked access to the account, due to unusual activity.

Resolution 1

Go to aol.com and log into webmail. When prompted, change the email password.

CollapseAdditional Information
When using the AOL email client on a computer you will not be prompted to change the password. Be sure to open an internet browser and log into your account at aol.com.
