BlackBerry 10 smartphone does not charge when plugged into a wall charger

When using a wall charger with the BlackBerry 10 smartphone, it does not charge and no charging indicator is displayed on the screen.

This issue can occur if the charging cable has not established a valid connection or if the cable is inserted slowly (partially inserted, pause 1 second or more, then completely inserted).

This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
CollapseWorkaround
Unplug the charging cable and insert it in a continuous motion without pausing. If done correctly, the charging indicator (lightening bolt) will appear on the BlackBerry smartphone.
