"Temporary Server Error" or "There is no BBM account associated with this email address" is displayed when attempting to move an existing BBM account to the BlackBerry 10 smartphone

When attempting to sign into BBM on a BlackBerry 10 smartphone with an associated BlackBerry ID, the user is prompted to perform a Device Switch. When attempting to complete the switch, the following error message is displayed:

Temporary Server Error

Alternatively, when selecting to restore the BBM account from an email address the following error is displayed:

Email account invalid. There is no BBM account associated with this email address.

CollapseResolution
This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
CollapseWorkaround
If the BlackBerry 10 smartphone is running BBM 6.0 or earlier, or when restoring from a backup file that has been created from a BlackBerry smartphone running BBM 6.0 or earlier, follow KB33259 to migrate the BBM Contacts to the BlackBerry ID.
