"There are no services to connect to on this device" displayed when the BlackBerry 10 smartphone attempts to connect to the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet via Bluetooth

When attempting to pair the BlackBerry 10 smartphone with the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet via Bluetooth, the pairing completes successfully, but the devices cannot connect. The following error is displayed:

There are no services to connect to on this device

When attempting to initiate connection from BlackBerry PlayBook, the Connect Device button is grayed out.


Download and install BlackBerry Bridge on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone and initiate the connection through the BlackBerry Bridge application.

BlackBerry Bridge can be downloaded through BlackBerry World on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
