Upon running the setup.exe file in the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 installation package, the following message appears:

The BlackBerry Enterprise Service supports the Windows operating system in English only. Please configure the Windows operating system to use English and then install the software.

In the installer log, the following is seen:

<#01>[10000] (08/02 11:42:38.276):{0xC70} [CDataStore::GatherProdInfo]: Only Enlgish locale is supported. The detected locale code is [16]

Notes regarding the above log line:

  • The incorrect spelling of English will be fixed in a later release of the product
  • The number in square brackets will differ depending on the locale settings.

To ensure that the installer can run correctly, complete the following:

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click Clock, Language, and Region > Change Location > Administrative tab > Change system locale.
  3. Change the value to either English (United Kingdom) or English (United States) and click OK.
  4. Click OK.
