Duplicate SMS text messages are being sent from the BlackBerry 10 smartphone.

The person receiving the message receives multiples of the message; however, the BlackBerry 10 smartphone does not display any duplication.

This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. A resolution is currently unavailable.

End the current text message chat and start a new chat being sure to avoid adding the same contact more than once.

Important: Be sure to copy all the information from the chat before ending it, as there will be no way to retrieve it has been deleted. Also, backing up the Settings database using BlackBerry Link and restoring it will just restore the issue.

To end the current chat, open the chat in the BlackBerry Hub and complete the following:

  1. Tap the action menu button (3 vertical dots).
  2. Tap End Chat.
