Once an Android device or iOS device is enrolled on BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 version 10.1 and is enabled for Secure Work Space, it is not able to connect to the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync server if the server uses HTTP (port 80) instead of HTTPS (port 443).
On the iOS device, a warning with a blank certificate as not trusted is displayed. If Continue is selected, the following error is displayed:
Unable to verify account details.
On the Android device, the following error is displayed:
Couldn't open connection to server.
On the ActiveSync server, enable SSL protocol on port 443.
On the UDS console, create a new email profile, and specify the new Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync details to be used: ActiveSync server name, port=443, protocol=SSL.
