BlackBerry smartphone users are unable to browse using the BlackBerry Browser after completing an upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0.4 MR6

After completing an upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0.4 MR6, BlackBerry smartphone users may experience failures when browsing using the BlackBerry Browser.

The following errors are seen in the BlackBerry Dispatcher log every time a browsing attempt is made by any end user:

The BlackBerry MDS-CS logs may show the following error:

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) is not installed on the computer.
Upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP4 MR7.

Install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) on the affected BlackBerry Enterprise Server machine(s). If BlackBerry MDS Connection Service is installed remotely, install the package on the remote computer. This package can be found on Microsoft's website at the following link:
