Unable to receive BBM Voice calls using BBM for iPhone after restarting the iPhone

Article ID: KB35836

Type: Support Content

Last Modified: 03-24-2014

Product(s) Affected:

  • BBM for iPhone
  • BBM for iPhone
After turning off the iPhone and turning it on again, the BBM for iPhone application does not receive BBM Voice calls until the password is entered to unlock the screen.
The iOS has disabled the WiFi radio until the password has been entered to unlock the screen. The iOS does not permit access to the internal keystore until the password is entered to unlock the iPhone screen. The credentials for accessing WiFi access points are stored within the internal keystore. As such, WiFi profiles, whether open or secure, are assumed to be inaccessible until the password has been entered to unlock the screen.

Enter the password to unlock the iPhone screen to ensure the WiFi radio of the iPhone turns on.

Should the password not be required, consider disabling the Password feature of the iPhone to ensure that the WiFi radio is always available.
