Email messages can be automatically forwarded from your Gmail account to your BlackBerry smartphone. You can do one of the following:

Note: You must choose one of the two options above. You cannot set up both options.

To forward all email messages, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. In the top right navigation bar, clickSettings. The Mail Settings window appears.
  3. Click the Forwarding and POP tab.
  4. Click the Forward a copy of incoming mail to option, then type your BlackBerry Internet Service email address.
  5. Click Save Changes.
To create a filter to specify which messages you want forwarded, complete the following steps:

CollapseAdditional Information

This article explains how to use the message forwarding feature in Gmail to forward email messages to your BlackBerry smartphone. An alternative method of integrating your Gmail account with your BlackBerry Internet Service account involves POP3 access. For instructions, see KB03701.

Note: To prevent duplicate email messages from being sent to your BlackBerry smartphone, do not set up both message forwarding and POP3 access.
