BlackBerry smartphone users are not able to log in to BlackBerry Client for IBM Lotus Sametime.
This issue may occur when an organization adds a new BlackBerry Enterprise Server after the initial installation of BlackBerry Enterprise Server and IBM Lotus Sametime Server.
The sametime.log file shows an error similar to the following:E Server 08/Jun/05, 16:28:32 Rejecting server component xx.xxx.xxx.xxx, not in trusted ips list
The BlackBerry Instant Messaging (BBIM) log file shows an error similar to the following:
<INFO >:<LAYER = BBIM, Sametime Connection logged out; REASON [ 8000021c]:
The CommunityConnectivity document does not include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for all of the BlackBerry Enterprise Servers connected to the IBM Lotus Sametime Server.
Complete the following steps:
- On the IBM Lotus Sametime Server, double-click the CommunityConnectivity document.
- In the Community Trusted IPS field, type the IP address for each BlackBerry Enterprise Server connected to the IBM Lotus Sametime Server.
- Restart the BlackBerry Collaboration Service.
Restart the IBM Lotus Sametime Server.
Important: Restarting certain BlackBerry Enterprise Server services will delay message delivery to BlackBerry smartphones. For more information, see KB04789.
