CollapseOverview

The BlackBerry Enterprise Server Migration Kit is composed of a permanent Server Routing Protocol (SRP) identifier and authentication key that replaces the SRP identifier and authentication key already in use in the environment. There is a 180-day overlap period wherein the permanent SRP identifier and the existing SRP identifier are both active. After 180 days, the existing SRP identifier is disabled and cannot be re-enabled or extended.

While using the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Migration Kit, BlackBerry Client Access Licenses (CALs) can be re-used from the original BlackBerry Enterprise Server in the database for the new BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

No additional software or configuration is required to use the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Migration Kit. Migration kits can be requested through the BlackBerry Expert Support Center with a valid support contract.
