To remove the BlackBerry Desktop Software from a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Vista™, perform the following actions:
- On the computer, open Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- Select BlackBerry Desktop Software and click Uninstall/Change.
- If a prompt appears for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
- Click Next.
- Click Remove and Next.
To repair the BlackBerry Desktop Software on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Vista™, perform the following actions:
- On the computer, open Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- Select BlackBerry Desktop Software and click Uninstall/Change.
- If a prompt appears for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
- Click Next.
- Click Modify and Next.
BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 and 6.1 will not provide the option to modify the installation. Only the option to remove the installation will be available.
Only BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.2.2 and later is supported by Windows Vista and BlackBerry Desktop Software 5.0.1 and later is supported by Windows 7.
If the BlackBerry Desktop Software is not listed in the programs list within Programs and Features, the version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager may not be compatible with the version of Windows being used.
