When sending a calendar meeting invite from a BlackBerry smartphone using a Windows Live Hotmail, Windows Live, Sympatico, MSN integrated account, the recipient receives a blank email message without the accept or decline option

When sending a calendar meeting request from a BlackBerry smartphone using a Live hosted email account (Windows Live Hotmail, MSN, Windows Live, Bell Sympatico) the recipient receives a regular blank message with the calendar appointment request missing.


This is a technical limitation of the MSNMSP protocol used to interact with Windows Live Hotmail / MSN accounts.


This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. A resolution is currently unavailable.


Change the protocol being used by the email integration from MSNMSP to POP3 in the advance email settings from the BlackBerry smartphone.

Note: POP3 email protocol will not be notification based email.  Email receipt on BlackBerry smartphone will be subject to 15 minute polling cycle.
