CollapseOverview

When sending a calendar meeting request from a BlackBerry® smartphone using a Live hosted email account (Hotmail®, MSN®, Windows Live™, Bell Sympatico®) the recipient receives a regular blank message with the calendar appointment request missing.

CollapseCause

This is a technical limitation of the MSNMSP  protocol used to interact with Windows Live Hotmail / MSN accounts.

CollapseResolution

This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.

CollapseWorkaround

Change the protocol being used by the email integration from MSNMSP to POP3 in the advance email settings from the BlackBerry smartphone.

Note: Changing to a POP3 protocol may result in receiving emails with a 5-10 minute delay on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Please contact the wireless service provider or BlackBerry Technical support for assistance.
