How to change voice mail message download settings in Visual Voice Mail

To automatically download voice mail messages while roaming, complete the following steps:

  1. Open Visual Voice Mail.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Change the Auto Download Messages field to Yes.
  5. Change the Allow Data Connection While Roaming field to Yes.
  6. Return to the message list and press the Menu key.
  7. Click Reconcile Now.

To receive notification when a voice mail message is received, but not download the message until you open it in your Visual Voice Mail inbox, complete the following steps:

  1. Open Visual Voice Mail.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Change the Auto Download Messages field to No.
  5. Change the Allow Data Connection While Roaming field to Yes.
  6. Return to the message list and press the Menu key.
  7. Click Reconcile Now.

To stop automatically downloading voice mail messages while roaming, complete the following steps:

  1. Open Visual Voice Mail.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Change the Auto Download Messages field to No.
  5. Change the Allow Data Connection While Roaming field to No.
  6. Return to the message list and press the Menu key.
  7. Click Reconcile Now.
