CollapseResolution

Complete the following steps to reconcile previously purchased applications in BlackBerry App World storefront:

Cause 1

The My World window must reconcile previously purchased applications on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Resolution 1

  3. Press the Menu key, and then click Log In.
  4. Type your PayPal email address and password.
  5. For each application that needs to be reinstalled, select it and click Reinstall.

Note: These steps will only work for applications that were purchased through BlackBerry App World. Free or trial applications that were downloaded do not appear in My World after switching to a new BlackBerry smartphone or after upgrading the BlackBerry Device Software. For the free and trial applications, you must download those applications again.

For App World 2.0 to 3.0

  2. Click the Menu key, and then click My World.
  3. Enter in your BlackBerry ID email and password, then click Login.
  4. The application list will refresh automatically.
  5. For each application that needs to be reinstalled, select it under the Uninstalled section and click Reinstall.

Note: As of BlackBerry App World 2.0, downloaded free applications will be listed in the My World section.

Cause 2

A new BlackBerry ID has been created rather than using the existing BlackBerry ID.

Resolution 2

  2. Follow instructions in KB26694 to change BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone.

Cause 3

BlackBerry App World Cache needs to be cleared.

Resolution 3

  2. Check for BlackBerry Complementary Applications under uninstalled Application list.
  3. To confirm BlackBerry Complementary Applications are installed/downloaded for the BlackBerry ID, log into App World Web Store and click on My World.
CollapseWorkaround

Even though the applications may not be listed in My World, the previously downloaded applications might already be on the BlackBerry smartphone. Depending on the version of the BlackBerry Device software, the icons could be located directly on the Home screen, in the Applications folder, or in the Downloads folder.
