CollapseOverview

There are four different line preference types. Each type allows BlackBerry MVS users to place calls from the phone application installed on the BlackBerry smartphone. Each option provides different functionality.

Work Preferred (Mobile Auto) - When selected, the BlackBerry MVS user's BlackBerry MVS Client will attempt to place calls using the BlackBerry MVS extension. Should the BlackBerry MVS extension not be able to complete the call, the BlackBerry MVS user's phone will automatically switch over to use the mobile number to place calls.

Work Preferred (Mobile Prompt) - When selected, the BlackBerry MVS user's BlackBerry MVS Client will attempt to place calls using the BlackBerry MVS extension. Should the BlackBerry MVS extension not be able to complete the call, the BlackBerry MVS user's phone will prompt to switch over to use the mobile number to place calls.

Work Only - The BlackBerry MVS user will only be able to complete calls that are placed on the BlackBerry smartphone using the BlackBerry MVS extension assigned to the BlackBerry smartphone. The BlackBerry MVS user will have to manually switch the line preference to place calls using the mobile number.

Mobile Preferred - Calls placed on the BlackBerry smartphone will be placed using the mobile number. The BlackBerry MVS user will have the ability to manually change the active line from Work to mobile number.
